[Home Depot] Husky 52 inch 18 Drawer Tool Breast (Elevation and Lesser) $598 (homedepot.ca)

https://world wide web.homedepot.ca/en/dwelling house/p.husk ... 04523.html

I've been looking for a toolbox for my garage for over a yr. This is by far the best price/size ratio I've found. Same price at homedepot.com also. This toolbox is at the aforementioned level every bit the higher end Canadian Tire toolboxes but at nearly one-half the cost. Dwelling house Depot just gets these in the concluding quarter of the year for some reason. Information technology's best to open the box in store and look for damage. It is fairly mutual for these to become damaged in shipment. They have slightly changed this model from final twelvemonth. The five changes I've found so far are all blackness wheels, condom grommets in back of top chest for a power strip, lip on top of bottom chest for top breast to sit in, drawers now suck back closed instead of the push in to lock style, and an added drawer slide for added support on the bottom of the long alpine drawer in the bottom chest. All of which make it a improve toolbox.

I recall for a home owner this is a great toolbox with no one else offer anything similar close to this price.

Too keep in mind this does not come with drawer liners but you can get them from the dollarama for cheap.

My neighbor has this beast. It's a nice, high quality chest. It was great for me because I got his old 1!

True, but no stock around GTA. I checked with one of the Hard disk drive employees on Sabbatum...
Please update if you run across any stock... Actually interested to get one of these.

In the mean time, on Sunday I got a Husky 46", 9 drawer workbench which seems reasonably priced at $299:

I ordered this on christmas mean solar day and picked it upwards on the 26th for $598.

On Jan 21st, I sent HD an email in regards to this toll drop (since it had dropped to $498), and I got this response:

Thank you for contacting HomeDepot.ca.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice and it is determined past many factors.
We are unfortunately unable to toll friction match since, co-ordinate to our inventory, the Husky 52 in. 18-Drawer Tool Chest and Cabinet Ready is non available in any stores in your area. It is a clearance article unfortunately sold out due to loftier demand.

Nosotros are very sorry for the inconvenience.

So not probable to get any cost adjustment :)

Nevertheless, I got it going through RFD cash back link, and got about $30 cash back likewise, since they had a promo cash back rate before the holidays...

Squeamish box for the price.. OK, it is not a SnapOn, but it didn't fifty-fifty cost the "taxes" of what a SnapOn would have cost me... :)

For my needs, it was awesome. Added a nice chrome handle to the top section (taken from a side of a rack mountain computer I was trashing - perfect fit) ; installed a nice heavy duty ability bar with eight outlets/10ft cord (which I had lying around) in the top department for my chargers ; and had a few rolls of liners I had picked up a while back (from HD U.s.a.) for another box I was planning to buy (I had five rolls - but would had been better off with vi rolls, to avoid joining some sections - but not an outcome for now).
I wish it had rivnuts on the opposite side too for the handle (so you tin can choose which side you wanted it on), only I but left information technology uninstalled [no large deal], since the correct side of the box is up against some other shelving unit I have in my garage (which was also picked upwards on sale last summertime from HD).

Not for these larger units... Actually, they were clearing them out, and with $CDN tanking, I'm surprised they didn't raise the price.. It is still listed at USD$598 on Hard disk drive United states of america site.

I wish it had rivnuts on the opposite side as well for the handle (so yous can choose which side you wanted it on), merely I only left it uninstalled [no big deal], since the right side of the box is up confronting some other shelving unit I have in my garage (which was as well picked up on sale terminal summer from HD).

Kind of hard to see what information technology scans at... In that location is NO inventory in any HD within at to the lowest degree 200km from my identify.. :(
Trust me, I would have washed it if they had stock (I went to physcially check when I had seen the revised price). I even checked with the service counter to ensure they did not have inventory hidden anywhere (while pretending I wanted to purchase i). Wouldn't be the first time I have done it at HD.

I meant pack it up... lol

Bring information technology in to a store that shows the price even if no stock, return for receipt toll, and rebuy at store price...

maybe besides big for that lol
